Working condition for staff
Our staff is fully covered with medical
insurance. We maintain a professional staff
since we are paying on a scale slightly higher
than average. Our chefs are well trained &
provide healthy and safe meals for your trek.
Eco- friendly
Preserving our nature and environment is very
important. Our staff is well aware of
environmental issues and will do their best to
reduce any damage to the environment.
We bring all the garbage back except for those
that are biodegradable.
Highlander does not use firewood for cooking-the
forests are too valuable. Highlander is
sponsoring a recycling project in the Kathmandu
Valley.
Social work
We at highlander are well aware of the impact
trekking has on the rural areas as well as the
established routes. Therefore, we have committed
ourselves to giving back to the communities
where we travel.
Highlander is extending its hands to bring
regularly free mobile health camps and help
programs to several schools in almost isolated
areas in Nepal. Highlander is always taking part
for environmental awareness programs too. We
also appeal to our any friends/guests to join us
for providing such activities in Nepal.
