Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is one of the most popular and astonishing trekking trail of Nepal. It is the combination of the exploring Tamang culture, holy Gosainkunda Lake, Tibetan Monasteries, primitive Tibetan style houses, beautiful landscape and gorgeous waterfall. moderate trekking tour with the flamboyance of majestic mountains. This Langtang Gosaikunda trekking route includes visiting through beautiful Langtang Valley and finally reaching holy Gosainkunda Lake located at 4300 meters height. It also includes majestic Himalayan views, glaciers, popular lakes, and steep and descent climate.

For the initiation of this trek, we first have to travel from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which is 8-9 hours long road journey. To reach Syabru Besi, we have two different routes. We can either go by using the Nagdhunga road ways or Kakani. You can find public vehicles to Syabru Besi but taking a private vehicle will be more luxurious, secure and comfortable. At Syabru Besi we will take stay the night. We start the trek early in the morning after having breakfast. Our goal for the first day of the trek will be Lama Hotel which is 5-6 hours trek from Syabru Besi. We will stay there in a teahouse and prepare for the next day. Continuing the trail, we pass through Langtang Village, Kyanjin Gomba and reach Gosaikunda on the 8th day.

GOSAIKUNDA LAKE

Located at an altitude of 4,380 meters in the Rasuwa District, Gosainkunda Lake has a surface of 13.8 meters.This lake melts down to form Trishuli River and it remains frozen during winter season from October to June. The Gosaikunda lake holds great religious importance in Hinduism. It is believed that Lord Shiva dived and quenched his thirst in Gosaikunda after swallowing poison.
