BEST TIME/SEASON FOR EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

Whether the trip becomes memorable or one to forget depends on what kind of preparation and experience you bring. Some people prefer trekking when there are less number of people.

There are two distinct trekking seasons best for Everest base camp. One is pre-monsoon which late Febraury to May and the other one is post monsoon that is late September to December.

I would not recommend to go Everest Base Camp trek during January and early February as the weather is very cold with the temperature of reaching uo to -20oC to -30oC. If you plan to trek on this month then you will definitely end up needing more time for weather delays. The weather conditions are more challenging in winter months.

Post monsoon is the best time for Everest Base Camp Trek. It provides better views of snowcapped mountains, clouds and scenery.
