SUNRISE/SUNSET FROM SARANGKOT

Situated in the west of Pokhara in Kaski district of Gandaki zone, Sarangkot is a must visit place for someone who is planning to visit Pokhara. It is widely famous for the sunrise and sunset views it provides along with the fact that it is widely famous amongst the paragliders. This village is located in the Sarangkot hill which is at an altitude of 1600 meters and is popular for the panoramic Himalayan views you can get to see from here. The Himalayas of the Annapurna region including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu. From here the Himalayas seem like they are giving a peck on your cheeks as they are seem to be so close and so near. You have to drive for a while to reach to the location and from there you need to climb stairs. There are many hotels and restaurants where you can have dinner after enjoying the sunset. To get to the exact location, you are supposed to take entrance permit first.

After reaching Sarangkot, the first thing that comes out of your mouth will be “Wow”. The view is simply amazing, a humongous mountain range will be looking into your eyes while the beautiful and huge lake along with the beautiful Pokhara city will be asking for your attention from the back. You can take pictures and videos and if you want to simply stay there, feel the fresh and soft air passing through your face and viewing the whole scenario, then you can go to the tower and enjoy for a while. The whole scenario is too dramatic and too beautiful, the feeling of seeing that view is so abstract that it’s really hard for a writer like me to put that beauty into words. Trust me, what I have explained and what it is like to see it in real are the two vast different things. Only one thing that will come to your mind while staying there is, ‘WHERE HAD I BEEN ALL MY LIFE?????’
