Kanchenjunga has been able to keep its position at 3rd in the whole world. The word Kanchenjunga was originated from old Tibetan and translated into five treasures of snow i.e. Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, Grain, and Holy Scripture.

Local citizens are worshipping these holy mountains from their ancestor generation. Kanchenjunga is located in the eastern side of Nepal bordering with Sikkim, a tiny Himalayan state in the northeastern part of India. There are some restricted areas in route to reach the camp so permits are compulsorily required in order to complete the trek. The government of tourism in Nepal doesn’t allow for solo hiking and local guides must be employed to obtain permits.

 

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is the memorable adventure into the heart of the Himalaya. On the way of trekking, you will meet local Tibetan refugees, who welcome you with hospitality. Before going on Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek the participants should be physically fit enough to walk for at least 6 hours per day. However, today government has made lodge and night stay facility which makes you easier on the trip.
