Simikot lies far western part of Nepal in Humla District, one of the most remote and beautiful regions in Nepal. We trek across the border following the ancient pilgrimage and trading route into Tibet and start our dive on the dry land and arrive at the sacred lake of Manasarovar at the height of 4590m. The lake is relatively round in shape covering the area of 320 square kilometer and the depth of max 90 meter. In Hinduism, lake Manasarovar is personification of purity. The lake has a few monasteries on its shores, the most notable of which is the ancient chiu Monastery built on a steep hill. We further drive to Darchen and start our high-altitude trek to circumambulate the holy Mt Kailash crossing over Dolma la pass (5630m) to wash away the sin and fly back from Lhasa to Kathmandu.

The cities in the Kathmandu Valley are made up of 3 ancient cities and Patan is located across the Bagmati River to the south of Kathmandu city. Patan is also known as Lalitpur, the city of fine arts. According to legend the founding of Patan dates back to Pre-Christian times. As opposed to the Malla cities of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur that were mainly influenced by the Hindu religion, Patan was for many years a major Buddhist city. It is believed that it was founded in the third century B.C. by the famous Buddhist emperor, Ashoka, who visited the town while on a pilgrimage from Northern India and built four stupas that enclosed the center of the old town.
Khokana is tiny traditional village lies about 8 km from south of Kathmandu which has hold its own tradition and culture. The village is popular for its oil pressing center where mustard seeds are pressed using traditional methods. Traditional weaving done by elderly ladies, men crushing seeds on the street and courtyards are the daily activities that could be seen in this farming communities.
Bungamati is also known as a winter home of the Red Machhendra god of Patan who inhabit every winter in a big temple in Bungmati. Its large courtyard is often used for spreading grain to dry in the sun at harvest time. The long array of local houses attached to each other with similar style can be seen together with hanging red chilies in threads.
Overnight is at Nagarkot, a most popular hill station with great view over the majestic Himalayas and equally popular for fantastic sunrise and rural atmosphere.
Bhaktapur which is one of the three ancient cities within the Kathmandu valley. It is the home of true medieval art and architecture and without a doubt the most historically authentic.
Attend a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Nepaljung which is the south west lowland of Nepal close to the Indian boarder. The city is extremely hot during summer. Explore the city on man pulling rikshaw or take a horse cart and stay overnight.
Flight Time: approx.1 hrLeaving the hot and humid Nepaljung we fly to a small mountain village of Simkot, the headquater of Nepal most remote district Humla. We climp up from the airstrip on a rocky trail pass fields and ascend to forested ridge and descent to Dundaphage, take level walk to the village of Dharapani.
Height: 2600mWe cross a long scare slop and follow the river pass by waterfall and shephered camp then give a climb over a ridge to the village of Kermi.
Height: 2800mAfter kermi we enter a big valley with field of potatoes and buckwheat, pass through small pine forest and descend to salli khola. After crossing the river the trail climb over a rocky ridge before descending to Humla Karnali. We follow the valley crossing over the ridges several times and arrive at Yalbang. Explore Yalbang and the monastery.
Height: 3000mThe trail twists its way above the river and come to Muchu village after crossing over the bridge. Then the trail follows over a ride to Tumkot.
Heights: 3150mPassing the rocky trail, we climb through a rocky George and pass by palbang and its beautiful mustard field to a small settlement of Yari.

A tough day ascending steeply to the top of Nara la (4620 meter) and descend down overlooking the Tibetan plateau which we will be following from the next day to rani pauwa and follow the loose stony trial down to hilsa.
Heights: 3720mA short walk to cross the border after the necessary formalities our tibetan guide and drive will fetch us just the other side of boarder and drive to Taklakot.
Height: 3930mToday we drive though the wonderful dry landscape of Tibet to Manasarovara, the highest freshwater lake with turquoise complexion in the world surrounded by Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula Mandata and Lake Rashekshi. The lake has a few monasteries on its shores, the most notable of the which is the ancient Chiu Monastery built on a steep hill.
Heights: 4600mAfter exploring the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss we head toward Darchen considered as a base camp for holy mt. Kalilash marked with thousands of praying flags.
Height: 4600mIt is one of the exciting day walking 18 km along the beautiful steep rocky cliffs; waterfalls and narrow canyon with some clouds in the clear blue sky above you to the 13th centuries monastery of Dehra Phuk.
Height: 5000mHardest but Holiest day of your tour crossing over Dolma-La (pass) of 18600ft between Drolma chu and Lha chu valley. The pass is decorated with thousands of praying flags and it’s a steep climb up to the pass and descend down Zuthal pukParvati-sthal and GauriKunda are on the way. By the late afternoon you will arrive at ZuthalPuk the cave of Miracles. The great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have performed miracles here.
Height: 4790mOn the final day of the kora we cross several streams, and follow an impressive gorge. Along the way we are once again treated to magnificent views of Kailash. We then enter the Bharka plain and it's about an hour's walk through this desert-like landscape to Darchen and drive to East bank of Manasarovar. We continue drive back to Saga.
