1991
Mr. Hari Dharel started the company Highlander trekking and expedition during the time when Nepal was new to the outside world. Only few people knew where Nepal was and what it had to offer including the Mountains and unique culture.
1996
Sumit Kunwar joined the office and moved towards Sales department to cater the growing customers.
1996
The company expanded to numerous staffs and had own fleets and field staffs more than 500.
1998
The groundbreaking year where Highlander became one of the growing trekking company in Nepal.
1999
Started office in Pokhara as to provide more logistics and support for the treks in Annapurna Region
2000
Started Highlander Guest House to cater and give best possible services hospitality service.
Took over the management of a resort in Chitwan National park to provide best services to the customers travelling to Chitwan and lower belt of Nepal.
2001
Maoist insurgency started where thousand lost lives and numerous lost jobs.
2008
Maoist insurgency ended, and we started operating on full scale and business went steadily upwards after then.
2014
Started a brand-new hotel called Highlander Inn with all the amenities including roof top restaurant, bar, garden and full furnished rooms.
2015
Devastating Earthquake hit Nepal in the month of April
2017
Mr. Hari Dharel appointed as the Honorary consul of Denmark in Nepal by the Danish Government.
2020
The team of highly dedicated and experience leading the company and providing the best services for past 3 decades.
