Attend a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and stay overnight at the hotel to take our long drive to Taplejung tomorrow
Height: Biratnagar 300mTake a drive early morning through the mountain road with beautiful landscape to Taplejung for overnight.
Height: Taplejung 1820mCross the small river over suspension bridge. Then our trail descends down to Tamor River walk through villages and terraced fields. Some irregular villages give us opportunity to meet local people. Upon arriving at Tamor River, we follow some narrow trails close to the river. Then gradual uphill trail through the terraced fields and few houses take to the village of Mitlung. Village.
Height: Mitlung 921mFollow the riverbank, through small villages and jungles. A suspension bridge over a small river keeps on engaged on business of serious trekking. Small tea breaks give us plenty of opportunity to encounter with local people and have a look over wild beehives hanging over the cliffs. Upon arriving at Chirwa, we can make small exploration to Cave nearby.
Height: 1270mWe gradually gain the elevation following the riverbank of Tamor. You need extra courage to cross to cross some of the suspension bridge that comes along the way. After we cross Taplethok village we can see cardamom farmyards. In recent years cardamom farming has become one of the good sources of earning for local people. Cross the river over suspension bridge and follow the gradual uphill trail to Lelep. From Lelep the trail is downhill until the Ghunsa River. Upon crossing Ghunsa River, we come to Sukathum.
Height: Sukathum 1576mWe march gradually ascending and following the Ghunsa River and cross the river again to our left side. A short steep uphill walk takes us to bit high and keep the distance with Ghunsa River. En route we pass some alienated houses of people and dense forests. We pass a beautiful waterfall on our left-hand side just before Amjilosa.
Height: 2308mThe trail through dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron is accompanied by river. On crossing Sungbung khola over a suspension bridge the trail gets steep up. Enjoy the beautiful waterfall next to Gyabla Village the river.
Height: Gyabla 2730mWe descend to the river and cross it. Then we track further north. Following the gradual uphill trail, we come to Phale. This is Tibetan refugee settlement. You can get a chance to buy some local handicraft products. Our trail continues further through Juniper forest which is followed by Ghunsa Village.
Height: Ghunsa 3595mThough today is rest day, it's better to keep your feet busy so that it doesn't get lazy. Explore the village preserved by Sherpa people. The village is towered by tall peaks and guarded my mountains. Get to know the Sherpa culture and explore the monastery.
From Ghunsa we advance further to north through gradual uphill and pastures abundance of wildflowers. We cross Ghunsa River just before Rampuk Kharak over a wooden rough bridge. After Rampuk Kharka, a beautiful waterfall and a glimpse of Mt. Jannu greet us and inspire to go further, and we arrive to Kambachen.
Height: Kambachen 4050mNo more stress this day. Acclimatize yourself and enjoy the whole day watching Yak pastures, stone made huts and sometimes blue sheep as well.
We start the walk-through meadows. Then a long gradual walk through the moraine along the river side takes us the Ramtang Monastery. After Ramtang Monastery we can have the first glimpse of Kanchenjunga Glacier. We have some beautiful glimpse of giant mountains. A final descend takes us the Lhonak, It Surrounded by high mountains and dry slopes.
Height: Lhonak 4780mFollow the Kanchenjunga glacier that gradually takes us to Pangpema/Kanchenjunga North Base Camp. We need to be careful while walking. Enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Jannu, Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Chang. Then we retrace back to Lhonak.
Height: Pangpema 5143mWe descend gradually through glacier and moraine facing the massive mountains all the way. Cross the river over small wooden bridge and here comes the Ghunsa.
Height: 3595mWe retrace the way through forest and following the ghunsa khola passing the small settle of Tibetan village to gyabla.
Height: 2730mCrossing the river bridge and passing stunning waterfall and dense Rhododendron forest we head downward to another camp site at amjilosa.

Height: 1576mWe follow the tamur river downward crossing numerous small tributary streams passing cardamom fields and villages we arrive to chirwa village set among large boulders.
Height: 1270mContinually following the river, passing through the curious local people and bees hives hanging on hug cliff we will head toward mitlung.
Height: 921mThis is the last day of our trek, we pass through beautiful villages and fields and arrive at Suketar to catch our flight the next day

We take about an hour scenic flight back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and relax.
Today we visit Bhaktapur, one of the three ancient cities within the Kathmandu valley. It’s the home of true medieval art and architecture in the valley and the center of traditional Nepalese wood carving. Spend rest of your day for shopping.
