The Namobuddha is named after a monastery and one of the popular sacred sites for Buddhist. It lies about 40km South-east of Kathmandu and one of the the short trek in Nepal suitable for family and travelers with limited time.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the Capital of Nepal “KATHMANDU”. Upon Arrival our representative will welcome you and drive you to Hotel. Refresh and Relax

Day 2: Explore Kathmandu

"Kathmandu" which has exclusive blend of art, culture, history and religion. It bears varieties from pre-history to modern art, culture and custom. Today we explore some of it most popular UNESCO heritage sites.  Afternoon walk around the main tourist hub of Kathmandu and prepare for your trek.

Day 3: Kathmandu drive to Dhulikhel and trek to Namobuddha

Leaving the crowded Kathmandu city behind, we take a short scenic drive just outside Kathmandu Valley to the beautiful Newar town of Dhulikhel. Start out the trek with a walk to Namobuddha (1750m), where we pass through the classic terraced landscape of rural Nepalwith stunning mountain views in the background. Our destination is Namobuddha, an area sacred to Buddhists, especially of the Tamang community. Here you will find an ancient Buddhist stupa, a big, newly established monastery and a Tamang village.

Driving time: approx.1 and a half hours (Kathmandu to Dhulikhel), Trekking time: approx.3 hours

Day 4: Namobuddha trek to Panauti

After breakfast at our first camp, we follow small trails, predominantly downhill pass orange groves, terraced fields and beautiful villages to reach Panauti, one of the oldest villages in Kathmandu. Enjoy the Old Newari cultural and traditional village.

Trekking time: approx.4 hours

Day 5: Panauti trek to Nayagaon

We head from Panauti through villages - a flat and uphill walk pass the Hindu temple of Kusadevi, which takes us to the Tamang village of Nayagaon. Nayagaon has a stunning view point, where you can see Mt.GaneshHimal, Mt.Manaslu, Mt.Gauri Shankar, Mt.DorjeLakpa and Mt.LangtangLirung from here.

Trekking time: approx.5 hours

Day 6: Nayagaoun trek to Lakuri Banjyang

Trek through villages and Rhododendron Forest, in Spring, you will see these beautiful flowers in full bloom, make this an even more scenic walk. We will spend our last night in Lakurivanjyang, with the best view.

Day 7: Lakurivanjyang trek to Lubhu and drive to Kathmandu

After final breakfast at our last camp, follow the downhill trail to Lubhu, an old village in Kathmandu valley. From here a scenic drive back to Kathmandu

Trekking time: approx.2 hours

Day 8: Free day and shopping

It’s your free shopping day. So, walk around or just spend your time shopping.

Day 9: Fly back
