Manaslu Circuit Trek

When it comes to trekking in Nepal, the two destintions that come to people's minds are the Annapurna Base Camp and the Everest Base Camp due to their world-wide popularity. Those two tracks are the most visited trekking routes in Nepal. If you want to trek in off the beaten tracks that many people do not often choose, you are reading the right article. I am talking about Manaslu Circuit Trek in this article. Not explored much by domestic or international tourists, this trekking route has yet to reach the heights of modernity.

MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK - OFF THE BEATEN TREKS IN NEPAL

Trekking in the Manaslu region is quite hard compared to the other regions. Before you book your tickets for this trip in this area, make sure you are minimum at the age of 18 and have a good experience of trekking.

Best Seasons

The best season for Manaslu Circuit trek is pre-monsoon that is March to May and post-monsoon that is September to November.

Short Itinerary

The trek initiates from Arughat which is at 535 metres height. From Arughat, we aim to reach up to Soti khola which is at the altitude of 600-700 meter. It takes about 5-6 hours of walk for us to reach Soti Khola from Arughat. The next day, we walk up to Machha khola which is at 900 metres height from sea level. After trekking for 6-7 hours, we reach Machha Khola and spend the night at one of the teahouses. From Machha khola, we head up to Jagat which is at 1410 meters above the sea level.

Jagat, situated at 1410 meters height above the sea level, is a place in the Manaslu Circuit Trail where your trekking permit will be checked by the police as the circuit is a restricted trekking area. The next day we will be heading towards Phidim. By ascending the Saguleri hill which offers a majestic view of Sringi himal and walking down the long suspension bridge, we climb steeply up to Phidim. We spend the night at Phidim and prepapre for the next day's journey. The next trail starts from Phidim up to Deng, then Deng to Namrung and Namrung to Samagaon.

Finally at Samagaon, after days of walking, we will have an acclimatization day i.e. rest day. We stay at Samagaon for a day, enjoy the scenic view and observe the lifestyle and culture of people living there. Now after an amazing acclimatization day we wcpntinue our trail walking up to Samdo. From Samdo, we will head to Dharmsala, located at an altitude of 4450 meters. The next day, giving continuity to the trail we aim to reach Bhimphedi. Walking upto Beshisahar from Bhimphedi to Tilije to Chamje, we will finally end our trip in Beshisahar. A  place with sub tropical climate and deciduous forest, Besisahar is a wonderful place to visit.
